French Style Asparagus

I love asparagus. I love how fresh it tastes, and when you cook it just perfectly it is absolutely amazing. It's not something I've always liked, more so just recently.


French Style Asparagus

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients (serves 4)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 12 medium sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cups sliced almonds (or other nuts - I used sunflower seeds)
  • 1/2 to 1 lb fresh asparagus
  • soya sauce to taste
  • coarse sea salt
  • pepper
Instructions
Heat oil over medium heat. Saute garlic.
Add mushrooms and saute until cooked (about 5 minutes).
Add almonds and cook for another couple minutes.
Add asparagus and a splash of soya sauce. Stir frequently until cooked.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
