Maple Salmon

We had a super busy day today. Everyone was wide awake after what seemed like not enough sleep. I quickly rushed into the kitchen to prepare M's bottles and meals for the day, before I knew it it was nap time and I needed to go for my run. After that was over and everyone was cleaned up we decided to take M out for a walk in his new sleigh! He wasn't sure what to think, but at least it wasn't freeezing cold out!

I was in the mood for something super quick and easy today.

You can't really go wrong with this recipe, it's mainly two ingredients.. Soya Sauce and maple syrup and it tastes amazing!

I actually prepared it ahead of time during M's afternoon nap and let it sit for a couple hours. I also ended up cooking it for about 30 minutes, instead of 20.
Maple Salmon

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients (Serves 4)
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Soya Sauce
  • 1 Garlic Cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 pound Salmon
In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, garlic salt, and pepper.
Place salmon in a shallow glass baking dish, and coat with the maple syrup mixture. Cover the dish, and marinate salmon in the refrigerator 30 minutes, turning once.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven, and bake salmon uncovered 20 minutes, or until easily flaked with a fork.
